This body of work is an ongoing experiment in the documentation of an ecosystem in a particular time through its available materials.   Based on the understanding that one can judge the health of an animal through the quality and quantity of its usable fiber these woven sculptures express the health of a specific environment through the materials it provides. These are temporary sculptures and consist only of materials found within a set boundary using weaving, lashing and sewing techniques.  Because they include no imported materials, fasteners or lacquers the sculptures can be returned to their landscape and left to decay without causing disturbance to the environment.
