Tivoli Library Community Weaving Project
Join Margot Becker and the Tivoli NY Library this summer to help create a temporary community art project.
The design- together we will weave 500 squares with found materials. The squares will then all be woven together into the image above.
Weave with us at the library and/or take supplies to weave at home!
Make as many squares as you like!
Come together August 15th to see what we have all created!
Together we will weave 500 squares to create a 6’ x 6’ tapestry! To join in on the weaving fun, come to the scheduled weaving days at the library, or pick up a square of netting to weave on your own at home. Everyone is invited to weave as many squares as they would like! When you pick up your square, you will decide which color you would like to contribute. Squares will be available at the library anytime it is open between July 11th and August 4th.
There will be some yarns to work with at the library, but we encourage you to get creative and find strips of color in your world to weave into the piece! Keep track of our progress in the chart below.
